Feather fletchings are authentic and beautiful. But after hundreds of shots, you might notice a section of missing feather. The arrow shoots fine if the missing section isn't too large, but you must replace it eventually. When in doubt ask the pros at your archery shop.
Can you reuse arrow fletchings?
Yes, archery arrows are reusable. Before reusing your arrows, you should inspect them to make sure they are in good working order. If the arrow is damaged, you can usually fix them or salvage some of the parts to use in crafting a new arrow.
How many fletchings should there be on an arrow?
There are usually three to four fletchings on an average arrow. Essentially, they help the arrow fly in a straight (or straighter than they would fly without the fletching) path toward their target.
