No Harmful Impact on the Environment. Typically, all aerosols contain chemicals compounds which in one way or another, are harmful to the environment. Chemicals from aerosols are toxic when they contaminate water, soil, and other natural environmental elements.
Should we use aerosols or not?
They still contain hydrocarbons and compressed gas, like nitrous oxide, which are known for their contribution to global warming. Modern-day, CFC-free aerosol sprays also emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that contribute to ground-level ozone levels, a key component of asthma-inducing smog.
Are aerosols good for the environment?
Aerosols have an outsized effect on the planet's climate. Some of them, like black and brown carbon, warm the Earth's atmosphere, while others, like sulfate droplets, cool it. Scientists think that on balance, the whole budget of aerosols ends up cooling the planet slightly.
