What Is Google Street View?

What is the difference between Google Maps and Google Street View?

Maps is the cartographic and satellite imagery layer, along with the Point of Interest layer. Street View is the technology that allows you to visit in 360 imagery places, streets and point of interest.

How do I use Google Street View?

Tap on a place marker
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
  2. Tap on a place marker.
  3. At the bottom, tap the place name or address.
  4. Scroll and select the photo labeled "Street View." You can also select the thumbnail with a Street View icon .
  5. When you're done, at the top left, tap Back .
