Where does the zygote form?
A zygote forms when a sperm penetrates the outer surface of an egg. This happens in the fallopian tube. While the zygote stage is very brief, lasting only the early days of conception, it is important. The single-celled zygote contains all of the genetic information required to form a fetus.
Where is the zygote first formed?
In multicellular organisms, the zygote is the earliest developmental stage. In humans and most other anisogamous organisms, a zygote is formed when an egg cell is fertilized by a sperm cell. In single-celled organisms, the zygote can divide asexually by mitosis to produce identical offspring.
