Yes. Your breakdown cover will start straight away, as long as you haven't already broken down. For Standard, Advanced and Ultimate, you'll be covered for roadside and home rescue and a 10-mile tow for the first 24 hours. Your full cover will start after 24 hours.

What does RAC membership cover?

Once registered on the site, you can trade in your vouchers to pay in full for the following levels of cover: Roadside. Roadside, Recovery. Roadside, Recovery, At Home.

What to do if RAC breaks down?

You MUST use the emergency telephone found in the emergency refuge area and give as much information to the operator as you can. You can ask the highways agency to contact the RAC on your behalf. When you've completed the call, stand behind the emergency barrier.
