What's an Adjustable Base?

An adjustable bed is a bed which has a multi-hinged lying surface which can be profiled to a number of different positions. Common adjustments include inclining the upper body and raising the lower body independently of each other.

What does an adjustable base do?

An adjustable base contains an assortment of joints that allow the base to move freely from the mattress. This is where the many different sleeping positions come into play. Each one of these joints rotates a certain percentage, and that is what allows you to get into the position.

Is an adjustable base worth it?

For back sleepers especially, an adjustable bed frame allows you to raise your head and feet slightly for a more comfortable sleeping position. If you suffer from snoring or acid reflux, elevating your head position with an adjustable base can help alleviate symptoms that may keep you awake.
