Why Play a Cleric 5E?

Why Play a Cleric 5E?

A good cleric can be one of the most effective characters in the game. With access to powerful spells and domains, they're suited for any role. Whether your party needs a frontline fighter to just a good anchor, there's no end to what a good cleric can do.

What is the purpose of a Cleric?

Clerics are usually members of religious orders, and were originally intended to portray soldiers of sacred orders who have magical abilities, although this role was later taken more clearly by the Paladin class.

What are clerics good for 5E?

Clerics are good at early levels, mid levels, and late levels. A War Cleric with a Warhammer, Longbow, and Plate mail at Level 2 can best the roles of the Brute, Archer, Board Control, Spell Slinger, and Support all-at once. A Forge Cleric can Fabricate at Level 7, and do many other Wizard-only tricks before and after.
