Just don't use Assertions when you don't want. There is nothing wrong not to use it. Assertion is only helpful when a test case in debug mode actually hit it. Many times it doesn't hit at all, depends on quality of your test cases.
Is assert good or bad?
assert() is just as useful in C++ as in C. Assertions are not for error handling, they're for aborting the program immediately.
Should you use asserts in Python?
Assert statements are used to debug code and handle errors. You should not use an assert statement in a production environment. ... When debugging programs in Python, there may be times when you want to test for a certain condition. If that condition is not met, the program should return an error.
