However, as most plants slip into dormancy, Nerines are just getting the show started with long-lasting, showy blossoms in pink, red, and white shades. During the late spring and summer months, these showstoppers produce clusters of strappy, glossy green foliage, with flower stalks growing up to 2' tall in the autumn.
What month do Nerines flower?
Nerines put on a wonderful display of lily-like flowers in late autumn, in shades of pink and red, against strappy foliage. They work well in borders and containers and make great cut flowers, too.
Why are my Nerines not flowering?
Your plants are probably overcrowded and the competition makes them grow but not flower. We suggest you dig up the clumps of bulbs in early summer and divide them before replanting. Plant bulbs 10cm apart with the neck of the bulb just visible above the soil surface.
