Calexico, city and port of entry, Imperial county, southern California, U.S. It is located at the southern end of the Imperial Valley and is separated from the city of Mexicali, Mexico, by a reinforced steel fence. Founded in 1900, Calexico was once a tent town for the Imperial Land Company.

We had a moment to sit down with Randy Dickow, the owner of Calexico. You may also know him as the owner of Lunchtime Global, Sweet Lorraine's Fabulous Mac N' Cheez and the majority owner of Freshii. Dickow has been a long-standing Detroit presence and is now proud to announce the newest eatery in the Motor City.
Is Calexico a good place to live?
Calexico is a very small city with very little diversity, but it is a safe environment where everyone knows everyone. Although there is not much to do, it is a quiet and tranquil place to live in.
