Hercules was born in the last months of 1286 BC.

When did Heracles live?

No reliable evidence suggests that Herakles ever lived. It is highly improbable that he is based on an ancient historical figure. Stories of Herakles are approximately three thousand years old and probably date to the early 1000s BCE, as Greek culture began to blossom.

How was Herakles born?

Zeus, who was always chasing one woman or another, took on the form of Alcmene's husband, Amphitryon, and visited Alcmene one night in her bed, and so Hercules was born a demi-god with incredible strength and stamina.
