How to use Neomycin SULFATE. Take this medication by mouth exactly as prescribed by your doctor. To decrease the risk of infection after intestinal surgery, this medication is usually taken for 3 or 4 doses the day before surgery, or as directed by your doctor.
When should you not use neomycin?
You may use neomycin, polymyxin, and bacitracin combination to treat minor skin injuries. However, you should not use this medication to treat deep cuts, puncture wounds, animal bites, serious burns, or any injuries that affect large areas of your body.
