Should you let Trygve burn himself? Partway through the Snotinghamscire Farewells and Legacies quest, Trygve will tell you that he plans to burn himself alive in honour of the dead Jarl. If you let him do so then you will not get to choose a new Jarl, as Vili will be the only choice.

What happens if I choose Vili?

Choosing Vili to be the next Jarl means that he will not join you in Ravensthorpe. Choosing Trygve results in Vili joining your crew and you can assign him to your raiding party.

Should Vili be Jarl AC Valhalla?

If you want Trygve to be Jarl, or a choice at all when the time comes, then the answer is to stop him from doing this. However, if you have already decided Vili is to be Jarl then it does not matter what choice you make as Trygve's death would automatically make this a reality.
