TIp is not expected, but greatly appreciated. Everyone who works with a broker like Rover, Lyft, Uber etc etc gets about 20% of their earning taken by them. Tips are always appreciated and the sitter will go over and above when you book her again :) Tipping is not required but it is much appreciated by the sitter.

How is tipping calculated? Grooming: Owners will be given the option to leave no tip, 10%, 20%, or 30% tip for their pet care provider. Other Services: Owners will be given the option to leave no tip, 10%, 15%, 20%, or a custom tip of up to 30% of the service rate for their sitter.

Does Rover take part of tip?

Rover does not take a percentage of the tip. One the rover card the tip line is separate from payment and rover fees. I personally prefer tips through the app but some clients have left me cash tips as well which I've accepted.
