Molarity measures the strength of a solution. Remember, a solution is made up of two parts: the solvent (which does the dissolving) and the solute (the substance that is dissolved). The more solute there is, the higher the concentrate and therefore the higher the molarity of the solution.
Which solution has a higher molar concentration?
NaCl solution has the higher molarity.
What happens when molarity is increased?
In general, low polarity compounds have higher Rf values than higher polarity compounds. In general, the adsorptivity of compounds increases with increased polarity (i.e. the more polar the compound then the stronger it binds to the adsorbent). The eluting power of solvents increases with polarity.
