Amplitude modulation is mostly used in the form of electronic communication. Currently, this technique is used in many areas of communication such as in portable two-way radios; citizens band radio, VHF aircraft radio and in modems for computers.
Where is modulation used?
The purpose of modulation is to impress the information on the carrier wave, which is used to carry the information to another location. In radio communication the modulated carrier is transmitted through space as a radio wave to a radio receiver.
Why amplitude modulation is used in aviation?
Amplitude modulation is widely used in aviation because AM is not subject to the capture effect. In this project, we will use the matlab to simulate the conditions of AM's immunity to the capture effect. Background: Amplitude modulation is one way of transmitting radio signals across large distances.
