Advance can easily be sprayed using an airless or HVLP sprayer. When using an HVLP, you may need to thin the paint by 10-20%. Airless sprayers will not require thinning. You can use a brush and/or roller when applying Benjamin Moore Advance.
How do you thin Benjamin Moore Advance paint for spraying?
Thinning the BM Advance by 10% with tap water and mixing it thoroughly – this cut the viscosity from 400 down to 160 or so.
How long does it take for Benjamin Moore Advance paint to cure?
Advance will dry normally. Dry to touch: 4-6 hours To Recoat: 16 hours Advance will dry slower than normal unless the following is done to speed the dry time: Ventilate the room with a fan and/or turn on A/C to lower the humidity.
