Here's what iCloud Backup includes
Your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups only include information and settings stored on your device. They do not include information already stored in iCloud such as Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, Notes, Reminders, Voice Memos4, Messages in iCloud, iCloud Photos, and shared photos.
Do iPhone backups include photos?
An iTunes backup will save nearly everything on the iPhone including pictures on the camera roll, just as long as the photos were not downloaded from the computer but taken directly from the iPhone's camera. For more info on backups, see About backups for iOS devices.
How do I know if my photos are backed up on iCloud?
How to Back Up iCloud Photos:
- To turn on iCloud backup, go to Settings > iCloud > Backup.
- Turn on iCloud Backup.
- Make sure you're connected to the WiFi and click the Back Up Now button.
- To check whether you backed up your photos, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage and view your latest backup.
