Call Ducks are the cutest of all the ducks. They are small, don't eat as much as the larger ducks, and don't need the space that the larger ducks require. They have stout little round bodies, with short necks and legs, round cheeks, and adorable little bills.
Are there ducks that stay small?
The Wood Duck
They are one of the smallest breeds on our list and have piercing red eyes. Their colorful heads make them enticing to look at, and their compact bodies make them look like juveniles even during adulthood. Many live in the wild, and the ones bred in captivity are primarily kept for eggs and as pets.
Are ducks good house pets?
Ducks are most commonly kept as egg and meat birds on homesteads or even in large backyards, but they can also be raised as entertaining and affable pets, as well. These adorable poultry birds can make great pets, as long as keepers do not expect them to behave like a pet store bird or a cuddly kitten.
