Ngapi Kyaw itself is ngapi fried with dried shrimp, garlic, onion, chill, tamarind. It's available at most rice-based meals in Burma as a condiment or side dish to complement the other dishes, rather like a sambal or chutney. Here it's served with sour soup & fried fish curry.
