There is no cure for vitiligo. The goal of medical treatment is to create a uniform skin tone by either restoring color (repigmentation) or eliminating the remaining color (depigmentation). Common treatments include camouflage therapy, repigmentation therapy, light therapy and surgery.

Will they ever find a cure for vitiligo?

There is no cure for vitiligo. Although treatment may be helpful in restoring the colour, it cannot prevent its spread or recurrence and repigmentation (recovery) may not be permanent.

Can vitiligo be cured in early stages?

Vitiligo does not have a permanent cure, the treatment is only to stop spreading vitiligo. Treatment for vitiligo works better if it started at an early stage( perhaps before 2 or 3 months after starting). If the white spots are developing slowly then we can treat very fast then other vitiligo cases.
