While other sink materials, including porcelain and enameled cast iron, are prone to staining, scratching and chipping, a fireclay farmhouse sink is resistant to everyday wear and tear. It's also non-porous and less prone to staining.
How do you get stains out of a fireclay sink?
Use caution and never throw or drop anything into a fireclay sink. Stubborn stains and water marks can be wiped with the eraser pad in Elkay's cleaning kit or a Mr. Clean® Magic Eraser® and either water or a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution. Towel dry with a cotton cloth.
Do white fireclay sinks stain?
Fireclay is stain resistant and rust proof (because it doesn't contain metal like an enameled cast iron sink), so food items that are typically aggressive stainers can simply be wiped away.
