Disney announced in June 2020 the Splash Mountain log flume rides at Disneyland in Anaheim and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida will be transformed with a new theme based on “The Princess and the Frog” animated movie.

Did they change Splash Mountain yet?

Disney announced in June 2020 it would replace the imagery on the Splash Mountain log flume ride with new material ride based on The Princess and the Frog, after the racial justice protests last summer inspired a fresh wave of criticism of the attraction.

When was Splash Mountain refurbished?

The popular attraction usually closes for refurbishment each winter, but has not undergone a refurbishment since February 2020. Splash Mountain is slated to be rethemed to “The Princess and the Frog,” but no timetable has been announced.
